Transceiver TRX-6G4-S

WRS is proud to announce the successful completion of the development of the TRx-6G4 transceiver. The TRx-6G4 transceiver is a four-channel receiver and one-channel transmitter – digitizing signals at a rate of 6 Gsps and 12-bit resolution.

The transmit channel can generate signals up to Ku-band without analog-up-conversion and the receive channels can digitize signals up to C-band without any analog down-conversion. Digitized data is generated or processed on a Xilinx Kintex Ultrascale plus FPGA which provides resources for implementing custom firmware. The TRx-6G4 interfaces with standard Ethernet capable equipment via 10, 40 or 100 GbE.

The TRx-6G4 was developed in partnership with AISI to provide a competitive transceiver solution for applications in the aerospace and defence market.

Satellite Spectrum Monitoring System

A flexible and future proof solution, the Satellite Spectrum Monitoring System will provide an ultra wideband digitiser machine that captures signals with an instantaneous bandwidth of up to 3 GHz. The captured data will be sent to an ingest machine for  real time analysis. The ingest machine then performs detection and compliance measurements on identified transmitters. The identified transmitters are then traced to a specific satellite. Identified transmitters will be stored in the database and a compliance report generated. The solution will be compatible with existing antennas with IF below 3 GHz. It will be able to track multiple satellites using more antennas. The maximum instantaneous bandwidth will be 3 GHz. It will enable real-time processing and classification and will have a configurable resolution bandwidth and measurement reports that will be comparable with national or international databases.

Sampler Packetiser SP-6G4-S

The SP-6G4S is a sampler and packetiser module that allows for the direct digitization of signals up to a frequency of 6.4 GHz, with an instantaneous bandwidth of approximately 3 GHz. The SP-6G4S hosts a Xilinx KU11P FPGA which allows for the development of complex applications and algorithms. The standard interface of the SP-6G4S allows for data generated by the SP-6G4S to be easily interfaced with standard computer and network equipment. The inclusion of a 12V(DC) power supply interface, clock reference and a synchronization signal allows for it to be easily deployed as a ruggedised and RFI hardened stand-alone data acquisition system which is ideally suited for harsh environments.

RF Synthesizer SYN-9G2-D

The SYN-9G2-D is a small form factor dual channel 20 MHz – 9.2 GHz synthesizer module featuring the popular Texas Instruments LMX2592 high performance wideband integrated phase locked loop.  Two harmonically dependant signals can be generated simultaneously. Signals can be configured to be referenced to either an internal or external reference signal. Factory configurable output filters allows for optimization for each application. The module is powered and configured via USB type C connector and is easily controllable via open source python scripts. The small form factor of 80 x 70 x 17mm allows for easy integration in many applications. The specifications are outlined below:

  • Frequency Range: 20 MHz to 9.8 GHz
  • Nominal Output Power: 0 dBm
  • Internal Reference: 100 MHz
  • Accepted External Reference: 10 MHz or 100 MHz
  • Powered via USB-C
